Code of Conduct

Respect/Sparring
Show respect to your instructors and training partners at all times. Address instructors as 'Coach' and fellow students by name. Arrive on time, and if you’re late, check in with the instructor before joining class. Be mindful of your space and the space of others while training.
For everyone’s safety, all sparring sessions should be light, controlled, technical, and playful. The only exception is competition team practices during camp, where intensity may increase in preparation for events. Bring all required gear, and always touch gloves at the start and end of sparring sessions. Wai at the beginning of each clinch session.
Never aim to harm your training partners. Certain strikes are prohibited during sparring, including elbows (except for competitors under specific rules), heel hooks, teeps near the knee or face, and low kicks to the knee. Participation in sparring is always at the coach’s discretion.
Hygiene/ Facility Cleanliness
Maintain good hygiene by showering regularly and using deodorant. Keep nails trimmed and filed to prevent injuries. Take care of your equipment by wiping it down after use and letting it dry before your next training session. Store gear bags on shelves, under benches, or to the side, and pick up after yourself—gear hooks are currently reserved for coaches and competition team members. You are responsible for all your belongings, and all equipment you use should be wiped down after training.

Mat Cleanliness
To help prevent the spread of germs, please remove your shoes before stepping onto the mat and use the shoe rack when possible. Avoid stepping off the mat barefoot—whether onto the black mats, into the restroom, or outside.
Illness/Dress Code
Stay mindful of your health—avoid class if you’re sick or have a skin condition to protect yourself and your training partners. Come to class in a clean, dry shirt and bring an extra if you’re attending multiple sessions. For Muay Thai, wear Muay Thai shorts and keep your top on. Always bring the proper gear for each class.
