Jessica Strole
Jessica is a decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu athlete, coach, and competitor with titles including Double Gold at IBJJF Pans, 2x Masters Worlds Champion, and American National Open Weight No-Gi Champion. A U.S. Air Force veteran and Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach (NSCA-CPT), she brings discipline, resilience, and top-tier training to the mats. As Director of Operations and Head Coach, Jessica blends her competitive success, leadership, and expertise to help athletes reach their full potential. Coach Jess is also available for private lessons upon request.

Striking & Youth BJJ Coach
Max Vo
Max Vo, Striking & Youth BJJ Coach, brings over a decade of martial arts experience to Flow Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. A 3rd-degree Taekwondo black belt and California state medalist, he has since trained in Muay Thai, BJJ, and MMA, competing in boxing from 2021–2024. A Team Alpha BJJ blue belt and certified trainer, Max has coached at UC Davis Boxing, UFC Gym Sunnyvale, and now Flow, where he helps athletes of all levels build skill, conditioning, and confidence.

Black Belt | Coach
Kyssa
Kyssa Star, 23, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt who has been training since age 11 and competing across every belt level, earning multiple titles before her promotion in 2023. She began teaching in Brazil and has been coaching full-time since moving here two years ago. Passionate about animals and Brazilian cuisine, Kyssa favors the closed guard and uses the lasso guard in open guard play.

Coach Terra leads morning Jiu-Jitsu classes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, bringing energy, focus, and experience to the mats. In the afternoons, she guides our kids’ program, helping young students develop confidence, discipline, and solid fundamentals. Whether you’re new or advancing your game, Coach Terra fosters a welcoming, motivating environment for all.

Matt Tillman
Matt Tillman, a San Jose native and BJJ brown belt under Caio Terra, has 12 years of training experience marked by dedication and technical precision. Also a tattoo artist and business owner, he brings creativity, discipline, and attention to detail to both coaching and art. Matt fosters a welcoming, technical environment where students of all backgrounds can grow on and off the mats.

Omar Valeriano
Omar, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Greg Lara, earned his rank in 2021 after nearly 11 years of training. Born and raised in San Jose, he overcame asthma and no athletic background to build strength, discipline, and resilience through Jiu-Jitsu. His coaching emphasizes perseverance, adaptability, and technical growth, helping students of all levels push past limits and discover their own motivation.

Coach Jerry brings years of Muay Thai experience to the mat, combining expert technique with a passion for helping students grow. Whether you’re a beginner or on the fight team, Coach Jerry makes every class challenging, fun, and rewarding.

Coach Abraham, a devoted student of Anh and Naruepol Fairtex, brings 10+ years of Muay Thai experience and a 16-fight amateur record (9-5-1) to the mat. Having lived the fighter’s journey, he remains eager to learn, grow, and give back. Passionate about the art of 8 limbs, he helps students develop confidence, discipline, and strong technique.
